Existing Lifting Equipment Verification & Compliance

Original calculations, drawings, material specifications or operating instructions may be unavailable, incomplete or inconsistent with the equipment currently in service.

Changes to structural components, lifting points, connections or operating configurations may have been introduced without appropriate engineering verification.

Equipment may need to handle a different component, increased load, revised lifting points or new operating conditions that were not considered in the original design.

The available information may not provide sufficient evidence that the equipment can safely withstand the relevant load cases.

Existing equipment may not have been assessed against EN 13155, ASME BTH or other applicable standards, making it difficult to demonstrate that the relevant technical requirements have been addressed.

CE documentation, risk assessments, marking or instructions may be missing or require review, particularly when equipment has been modified or its intended use has changed.

A technical assessment may be required to support a revised working load limit, adaptation to a new application or a justified decision regarding continued use, modification or replacement.
